தமிழகத்திற்கு காவிரி நீரை திறந்துவிட ஒழுங்காற்றுக் குழு பரிந்துரை

காணொலி வாயிலாக நடைபெற்ற காவிரி நீர் ஒழுங்காற்றுக் குழு கூட்டத்தில் தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கு அடுத்த 15 நாட்களுக்கு வினாடிக்கு 3,500 கனஅடி வீதம் தண்ணீரைத் திறக்க உத்தரவிடுமாறு பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இக்கூட்டத்தில் தமிழ்நாடு, கர்நாடகா, கேரளா மற்றும் புதுச்சேரி மாநிலப் பிரதிநிதிகள் பங்கேற்றனர். அணைகளின் நீர் இருப்பு மற்றும் காவிரி நீர்ப்பிடிப்புப் பகுதிகளில் பெய்த மழை அளவு குறித்து விரிவாக ஆலோசிக்கப்பட்டது. ஆலோசனையின் முடிவில் தமிழகத்திற்கான நீர் திறப்பு குறித்து காவிரி நீர் மேலாண்மை ஆணையத்திற்கு ஒழுங்காற்றுக் குழு அறிக்கை அனுப்பியுள்ளது.

The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) has recommended that Karnataka release 3,500 cusecs of water per second to Tamil Nadu for the next 15 days. The decision was made during a virtual meeting attended by representatives from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry. Officials reviewed current water storage levels in reservoirs and rainfall patterns across the Cauvery catchment areas. Based on the evaluation, the recommendation was formally submitted to the Cauvery Water Management Authority. The directive aims to address immediate agricultural and drinking water needs in Tamil Nadu.
