புதுச்சேரி தேசிய மாணவர் படை சார்பில் ‘கடலுக்கு போவோம் – ஸ்வர்ணம் 2026’ என்ற பாய்மரப் படகு கடல் சாகசப் பயண தொடக்க விழா தேங்காய்த்திட்டு மீன்பிடி துறைமுகத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. முதல்வர் என். ரங்கசாமி விழாவில் கலந்துகொண்டு சாகசப் பயணத்தைக் கொடியசைத்துத் தொடங்கி வைத்தார். இச்சாகசப் பயணம் செப்டம்பர் 27 வரை மொத்தம் 63 நாட்கள் நடைபெறவுள்ளதுடன், புதுச்சேரி, கடலூர், கன்னியாகுமரி, தூத்துக்குடி, ராமேஸ்வரம் வழியாக சென்னை வரை 800 கி.மீ தூரத்தைக் கடக்கவுள்ளது. இதில் நாடு முழுவதிலும் இருந்து தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட 100 என்.சி.சி கேடட்கள் பங்கேற்றுள்ளனர். கடல்சார் அறிவு, தலைமைத்துவம் மற்றும் குழுப்பணியை வளர்ப்பதே இத்திட்டத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.
Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy flagged off the NCC sailing expedition titled ‘Kadalukku Povom – Swarnam 2026’ at the Thengaithittu Fishing Harbour. The 63-day coastal sailing adventure will cover a distance of approximately 800 kilometers along the eastern coast, touch Cuddalore, Kanyakumari, Tuticorin, Rameswaram, and conclude in Chennai. A total of 100 selected NCC cadets from across the country are participating in this maritime voyage. The initiative aims to enhance seamanship, leadership, physical endurance, and awareness regarding India’s blue economy and ocean heritage. Assembly Speaker R. Selvam and NCC Group Commander Ashish Tiwari were among the dignitaries present at the ceremony.
