பயிர்க்கடன்களை முழுமையாக தள்ளுபடி செய்யக் கோரி அரியலூரில் விவசாயிகள் வினோத போராட்டம்

அரியலூர் மாவட்டம் ஜெயங்கொண்டம் அருகே தாப்பழூர் தொடக்க வேளாண்மை கூட்டுறவு வங்கிக்கு திரண்டு வந்த நூற்றுக்கணக்கான விவசாயிகள் உணவு ஏந்திய தட்டுடன் ஊர்வலமாகச் சென்று மனு அளிக்கும் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். அனைத்து பயிர்க்கடன்களையும் அரசு முழுமையாக தள்ளுபடி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கையை வலியுறுத்தி இந்த போராட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. தாங்கள் விளைவித்த தானியத்தில் சமைத்த உணவை அதிகாரிகள் வாங்க மறுப்பதாக விவசாயிகள் குற்றம்சாட்டினர். இதேபோல் தஞ்சையில் கரும்பு கொள்முதல் விலையை உயர்த்தக் கோரி விவசாயிகள் கரும்புகளை ஏந்தி ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

Farmers in Ariyalur district held a novel protest demanding the complete waiver of all agricultural and jewel loans. Hundreds of farmers marched towards the Tappazhur Primary Agricultural Cooperative Bank near Jayankondam carrying plates of cooked food. The protest was organized by the Federation of All Farmers Associations to draw attention to unfulfilled government promises. Farmers expressed grief that authorities refused to accept the food cooked from their own harvested grains. Similarly, farmers in Tanjore held protests demanding an increase in sugarcane procurement prices to Rs 4,500 per ton as promised earlier.
